During your first appointment, a consultation will take place. This consultation will consist of a simple interview, during which you can present your goals so that Dr. Hoyt can determine if veneers are a good option for you. During your second appointment (also called preparation day), some minor prep work will need to be performed on your teeth so that veneers can be applied. This is a simple smoothing of the tooth surface, after which scans will be taken and temporary veneers created and placed, which you will wear while waiting for your permanent veneers to be created. This process typically takes about two hours but can vary based on how many veneers are being crafted. Once Dr. Hoyt receives your veneers–usually, about three weeks after placing your temporary veneers–you will return for your third appointment, during which they will be placed and bonded to the tooth’s surface.
