Hi my name is Dr. Spencer Hoyt. My practice is called Fort Worth Dental Arts, in Fort Worth Texas. What is a dental implant? A dental implant is a replacement for a missing tooth. It is the closest thing to having your natural tooth back. A dental implant is a titanium screw that supports a ceramic tooth. Generally recovery is minimal and in most cases, Ibuprofen is enough to manage any discomfort.
Hi I am Dr. Spencer Hoyt. My practice is called Fort Worth Dental Arts, in Fort Worth Texas. How do you take care of a dental implant? You brush and floss a dental implant just like your regular teeth, in my opinion the best way to take care of your dental implant is to maintain good home care and to maintain a regular dental exam and dental cleaning schedule. The reason is that at every visit we review home care and we also check for any problems. That way if a problem should arise we can take care of it before it gets worse.
